District Technology Committee 2026-27
Concord Public Schools & Concord-Carlisle Regional School District
Concord Public Schools & Concord-Carlisle Regional School District
Mission & Purpose: As a multistakeholder partnership, we are committed to transparency and open dialogue to ensure technology use in our schools is intentional, balanced, and aligned with student learning, well-being, and engagement. The district will share updates from the internal Instructional Technology Committee and gather feedback from families. We serve as a collaborative forum for updates, communication, and problem-solving across the Concord and Carlisle communities.
Our goal is to ensure that digital tools and emerging technologies (such as AI) are used purposefully to enhance—not replace—high-quality, human-centered learning and the district's core values.
We prioritize a healthy balance by:
Integrating paper, pens, and printed books alongside digital resources.
Focusing on face-to-face discussions and hands-on collaboration.
Using technology to remove learning barriers and engage students without replacing human interaction and critical thinking.
We guide our work through these key priorities:
Intentional Use: Balancing technology with traditional learning approaches to support growth.
Standards Alignment: Aligning with state and national technology standards (DESE & ISTE).
Ethics, Well-being & Social Development: Promoting critical thinking and ethical behavior with digital tools.
Educator Support: Empowering teachers and providing the necessary support, resources and time to respond effectively to emerging technologies and evolving instructional demands.
Instructional Focus: Prioritizing active, student-centered learning strategies that foster discourse, collaboration and students carrying the cognitive load.
Access & Equity: Leveraging digital tools to provide universal access and eliminate barriers to learning.
Collaboration & Communication: Engaging students, teachers, and families to make informed decisions based on the Instructional Technology Committee’s needs assessments and analysis.
